The Bank Commissioner has announced the new interest rate to be paid on mortgage escrow accounts, effective February 1, 2017. The new minimum interest rate is 0.00% and shall remain in effect until the next rate change, effective August 1, 2017.

New Hampshire Bankers Association (NHBA) President and CEO Christiana Thornton announced that K. Mark Primeau, President and CEO of Bank of New Hampshire, is the recipient of the "2016 Community Banker of the Year" award. Mr. Primeau received the award at NHBA's Annual Conference this past weekend.
MA- Essex County Greenbelt, Essex County’s Land Trust, is a
member-supported nonprofit organization working to conserve local farmland,
wildlife habitat and scenic landscape. Newburyport Five Cents Savings Charitable
Foundation donated $5,000 to support Greenbelt in purchasing 21 acres of undeveloped
land on Whittier Hill in Amesbury. The Foundation is proud to make this contribution.
